I have 3 children, my daughters are now married and starting new lives. My son is in college but close enough to visit on weekends. We also have 3 pets at home to occupy his time while visiting.

Claudia Comeaux, DVM
Claudia is very proud to follow in her father's and uncle's footsteps who were both veterinarians. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where her father and uncle owned small animal practices. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and then relocated to New Orleans where she worked at Airline Animal Hospital, the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center, and the New Orleans Zoo as a veterinary assistant before attending LSU Veterinary School.
While in veterinary school, she received a grant to travel to China and worked with Animals Asia to understand and categorize behaviors in Asiatic Moon Bears that had been rescued from bile farms and rehabilitated at the Animals Asia Bear Center outside of Chengdu. Following graduation, she completed a small animal internship at Alameda East Animal Hospital in Denver.
After relocating to Phoenix, Claudia worked as the Chief Veterinarian at the Arizona Animal Welfare League and at Altered Tails, two organizations whose focus was animal rescue and overpopulation control. While at AAWL, she helped to educate volunteers and children who attended summer camp at the shelter about veterinary medicine, and she realized that her true passion is the combination of educating pet owners and providing exceptional care for their pets.
Claudia's main goal is to provide the best possible health care experience for all pets and their owners--both you and your pet are listened to, understood and cared for with every attention to detail and compassion. Her special passion is soft tissue surgery and dentistry with an emphasis on pain management and providing safe, comfortable anesthesia and recovery.
Claudia feels very fortunate to be a part of such an outstanding team at North Scottsdale Animal Hospital.
Claudia is married to Michael Comeaux, a Phoenix Police Detective, and they own a Thoroughbred mare named Sugar Beaujolais. Claudia and Sugar love Eventing but are recent converts to the Hunter/Jumper world.
